An Afternoon Tea!

Saturday April 2nd 2022. A red letter day. The official launch of the new charity name - Christian Hope Uganda. What a fabulous time we all had. Great sandwiches, yummy cakes made by friends.

but most of all... We heard from each of the trustees of CHU explaining how we got to where we are today, and where we hope to head in the future. Four of the trustees were present, but Nigel (unwell) and Peter F (family commitments) sent in their thoughts by video. Brilliant!

Chris and Kate from Emmanuel church in Llandudno led us in a beautiful time of worship,

people chatted happily - able to meet up without masks, enjoying good food and fellowship.

Literally 5 minutes before we were due to start the whole afternoon, the church computer died the death! What a huge shout out to Kevin - the star of the afternoon - as he dashed home, found a different computer, transferred all the needed files, then ran them all for us! He was also the star on the Sunday morning - as this time a lead became un-soldered (is that a word???) Another homeward dash - this time for a screwdriver and a soldering iron!!

All together, a lovely afternoon and early evening together. Able to give thanks to Father God for all He has achieved in Kyehimba, Kakagate, and Preacher's Kids. We look forward to what else he has in store for us all.
